Ma Sœur Meets Loches (and Beaulieu-lès-Loches)

Having recovered from excessive walking in Paris, we are now ready to show Loches to ma Sœur. We took a walk (can’t seem to quit) and here are her photos. Exploring the area through her eyes.

If you’ve been paying attention you know what everything is. If you have questions please feel to ask them in the comments section.

You can see there are more flowers out now.

There’s some kind of art show happening in Beaulieu.

I’ve decided there’s a special kind of light in France that makes everything more beautiful. Even these baby ducks think so. You can see why Monet spent years working on painting reflections.

And here’s the world’S BIGGEST croissant.

And a baguette…

Here’s a photograph I took of our guest photographer taking a photograph.

Have a great day.

❤️💕😘❤️

  1. Our home has been given a few names, Grey Gables and Petit Chateau among them. Loches probably has about 7,000 population. Back to Canada just after mid-April. I am looking forward to being home again.

  2. What is the population of Loches? (and I’m sorry if you ‘ve told us and I wasn’t paying attention. I can feel a detention coming…). Beaulieu – means ‘beautiful place’. I think we should start naming places here with their French translation name. And I love how Europeans name their homes. We named our new place in Victoria – well, new to us – Lovedown Cottage, after Lovedown Farm in Essex. My great-great-grandparents used to farm there, and it’s still a farm and we visited it in 2017. But I like ‘Beaulieu’ better. Hm-m-m. When you coming back to Canada? (reluctantly, I assume)
