I had a chat with DH this morning (his last night) and he had NOT bothered to read my post for yesterday. The puppies didn’t do it. Obviously it’s time to spice things up a bit!

Saw this poem on a bridge and thought I’d take a photo so I could translate it later. I cannot figure out what the last word is. Can anyone help? (Solved – the Qs were Ps)

and while I’m getting advice, does anyone know what this is? I have it narrowed down to historical construction, art installation or playground apparatus. Any ideas?

Today I found a baguette that looked a little different and asked about it, but could not understand the answer. We had an absolute inability to communicate. So I brought the baguette home to do some personal research. It was delicious! It seems that garlic bread was invented by the French and they do a really good job of it. It’s called pain prefou.

Here are some spots I found interesting on my morning walk.

This one is the Mayor’s office.
Spring is everywhere. The temperature is always above zero!

And now a confession. (It’s Sunday.) There IS information on this former tree in the public garden after all.
It was planted on August 15, 1909, along with two other sequoias, to mark the opening of the public garden. One of them died of old age, and one became diseased and had to be removed. this one was 45 metres tall and over a hundred years old when….
on April 24, 2011, at 5:40 pm, it was struck by lightning and blew up. That must be why the wolf is howling.
Love to you all. Be happy.
