Another good day

The internet is very slow right now so this might be a really short note.

I decided to go further afield and find the Parc Aquatique Naturéo, which is a public pool that has a natural outdoor pool. It was quite a distance away so I followed my phone’s instructions.

Getting out of the town a bit I saw some new construction. This is the first I’ve seen I think.

The construction sometimes affected me. But I was able to cross the road. I wonder if there are sometimes chickens involved. Now we know why the chicken….groan

The phone’s instructions took me to what seemed like some very rural, and beautiful, areas.

But I trusted google maps and came across some lovely homes. Here’s one that is obviously new but built on a very old foundation.

And the inevitable “Dream “Home”. It looks so lovely nestled in the trees.

and more pretty flowers.

And when I say further afield, I really mean a field.

google maps didn’t fail and I made it to the pool. You can’t see the natural pool from here.

I much prefer the older areas of the city, and you can see them from almost everywhere so you’re never really lost. Here you can see the Donjon on the horizon.

The google maps person had a hard time with the pronunciation of many of the French street names, but here’s one someone I know would have no problem with.

Then I decided to go to an art museum so asked Mrs. Google to take me there. On the way we went down some more dubious streets… you really want me to go down there?

Found the perfect business opportunities, like the Loches driving school…

And this restaurant and beautiful house, but didn’t they get the sign wrong?

And after all that the museum was closed for work, but the church is just up the hill so I put my loose change into their donation box. You’re supposed to pound a nail into this stump while you say your prayers when you give them money. There’s a hammer and box of nails there for you. They’ve been using the same stump for about 60 years.

As you can see, many people have.

That’s it for today. Happy Birthday to one of you and love to you all.
