Full disclosure right away. I saw another cat. As soon as I say there isn’t something then there it is, everywhere.
I really like the way this street lamp hangs in the middle, just hanging around.
Many of is have had cats that look a little bit like this guy. But the expression – universal.
He’s taking care of the shop while everyone else has taken Monday off.

Here is another thing I was wrong about. Wires. This is a great shot of the flying buttresses and looks what we see!
It is actually an extension cord, I believe. See the plug on the end? Maybe for Christmas lights?

Now for a couple of pretty windows.

And a few doors. One open to let the outside outside, and one that I think probably disappears when all that greenery comes in.

Look at the wear on that threshold. That’s solid rock worn down over centuries.
It was such a nice day that I climbed up to the top of the hill and took a picture of the Prairies. It still looks a little bleak. Not much green on those trees.

And then I wandered aimless as a cloud.

It was a nice day. This next one looks like there used to be a house there. Now it’s a wall by a parking lot.

I’ve been finding art everywhere. Here’s one … I’ll let the panneau explain it.

Interesting. Because this is a tourist site I heard a couple speaking English. It was cool, but I hope they don’t allow too many in. It detracts from the atmosphere. Here are two paths diverging.
This is what it looks like from the other side.
This is what it looks like from above.
You can see I’m running out of places to explore. Case in point, here’s Loches’ additional hidden-away parking.

Remember the days of film and getting it developed. You sometimes got a roll of 24. Colour was an option. This is so much easier.
Even in a medieval walled city you have safety concerns I guess. There’s a strip of lighting along the bottom of the wall, presumably to guide you safely to the nearest exit in case of an emergency.

Like I said, I’m hitting a wall when it comes to new areas to explore.

I’ve come to a fork in the road, so to speak.
So I’ll be taking it. I’ve booked the train (and bus) to the coast tomorrow morning. I’ll be blogging from there next.
In the meantime take care, and don’t forget, even if you’re a thousand years old you’ve still got something to give.
Love to you all.

Love the windows and the threshold worn down by centuries of footsteps and the fork in the road and your humour everywhere.
You are here with me every step of the way.
This is marvelous. I feel like I’m exploring the town with you.
Thank you Linda. You’re very kind.
Another wonderful blog post, Marion. You are teaching me to stop and notice. To really see what you’re seeing. I shall take these lessons with me to France in May. You are engaging and unique. I hope – if I decide to blog from our France visit – others will be as drawn in as I have been to your posts. a la prochaine
