Winding Down

There’s not a lot I’ve left undone in the city of Loches. Things are beginning to repeat, though it’s still fun to live with a chateau looming overhead and to walk through stone city gates to get my baguette. I’ll never get tired of the outdoor cafes and the smiling people – or trying to understand what people are saying.

One thing I wanted to do again was go to the street of forgotten cave dwellings. It’s a bit of a walk. I took a few more pictures.

These stairs appear to go nowhere. Ma sœur climbed them and confirmed it. No hand rail, definitely not to code.

This was the sweater I wanted a photo of. What happened to the owner? It looks like a nice, wool sweater. Maybe not such a scenic photo though.

Another shot of things I found interesting. It looks like it might have once been a courtyard to an inner cave home.

And it was off to lunch. La Crepicoise this time. Salmon for lunch. It was pretty good, and that’s from a woman from Prince Rupert. White asparagus is everywhere.

It’s the next day now, and this is my artsy shot of the reflection of the Porte des Cordeliers in the Indre River.

Today was Market Day yet again. I purchased some French socks.

Then we walked to the Super U. No pics.

Next we went to the Loches candy factory. Pictures! They we’re celebrating Easter.

I bought some violet flavoured candies. I’ve never seen violet candies at home.

And, of course, there was lunch involved. My lunch crepe was salmon and spinach.

Sorry I started eating before I took the picture.

My dessert crepe was Tatin. (apple, caramel, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream)

This seems to be becoming a food blog!

We had planned to go to the caves today but didn’t make it. We’ll try for tomorrow. My time is running short.

Love to you all.
