It’s Sunday, almost everything is closed, so I spent the day looking around. Not far from my apartment is a small square with this statue of Alfred Victor, Comte de Vigny, who was born in Loches in 1797 but who left for Paris to get an education and never came back.
Loches is quite lovely and well maintained considering it’s been around since about 500.

This all looks very different on a Market day.
I found my lingerie store and took a photo of the hours so I’d know when to come back. It is closed on Sunday and apparently Monday isn’t worth mentioning.

Loches is far ahead of Paris toward Spring, as my allergies can attest. I’m glad I have my Reactine with me!
There is a home on the left here that had a nameplate saying Rose Clos. I wasn’t bold enough to take a picture of the sign but this one looks back at it and you can see the two rose bushes, one on either side of the door, that give it the name, They seem to be growing out of rock.

I should have taken a picture of a bakery I found open and where I bought three pistachio macarons. I apologized for my French when the old guy serving me had a hard time understanding me, but he said it was better than his English. Everyone is so wonderfully warm and friendly here (so far).
I found a picnic spot to eat my macarons. Whatever is inside them is delicious.

In my travels I found dozens of properties listed for sale. Here are a few in case you’re interested in relocating. You have commercial, residential, development potential and ??…

And of course this is my favourite spot today.

That’s the back end of a truck. They deliver wine!
Love to you all.

Je t’aime aussi.
Votre macaron a l’air merveilleux. Je t’aime maman!
Wonderfully warm. No jacket necessary!
It sure looks nice and sunny!! Warm too?
Thanks.
Wow. It’s very quiet there on Sundays. Lovely pictures.
Thanks for your kind words. I am definitely enjoying the view.
It is like entering another world, isn’t it? Your photos are wonderful documentation and your stories that go with. Following each day closely. The apartment has an amazing view, by the way!
