Yesterday I had problems uploading my photos (the internet here is slow and I don’t want to pay extra for a faster connection) and in the process of re-uploading I lost a lot of what I’d written. Like how at the end of the public garden there was a bridge over the river and a gate that led to a small road that went under the railway track. And that if you went straight when the road turned you ended up on the path that went through Les Prairies du Roy. And how I bravely set out with my walking sticks (aka my defensive devices) into the wild unknown. But alas, due to the poor internet connection you’ll never know the trials and tribulations I faced. To you, it was just a walk.

But today I have no trials. Today I faced the most marvellous of inventions and revelled in its glory. Today I turned on the towel rack before my shower! It’s amazing. It’s true decadence. It’s a warm hug in a cruel world. Why don’t we have them in all our homes?!?!?!?!?!!!!! These people know how to live!
Having such a good start to my day I tempted myself with window shopping. My suitcase is full. I have no room to bring anything back with me. I either eat it, drink it, or leave it in the shop. So window shopping it is!
Here are some of my favourite windows. In this first window the outfit on the left is so lovely … if one weighed 75 pounds less. Which isn’t going to happen if that darn boulangerie continues to keep such convenient hours. It’s not going to happen in any event…ever. Beautiful dress though.
Louie the whatever chaise anyone? YES! If only my suitcase were the size of a cargo container.
Animal prints are always in style. I have discovered that in France it seems you’re never really dressed unless you’re wearing a scarf.

I love how you can see the old city gate in the reflection in the window.
I could look at these windows for hours.
And here’s where I do my actual shopping, the local grocery store. the windows are not too interesting.

This clock lets everyone know the time all day every day. It’s in centre ville where all the shops are.

and sometimes parking is interesting.

Tomorrow is Market Day. That’s when everyone shops!

Really enjoying your journey; do so wish we could have met up with you.
You need to buy another suitcase!

I figure I’ve got 75 days to give up all wheat, dairy, sugar, chocolate….you know, all the good stuff…so that when we get to France May 13 I can eat the croissants. My husband says it’s toss-up whether he goes to France for the croissants or the wine. Maybe both. Love this post!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. 💕
Such wonderful lampshades!
